Foden Helps Man City to be FA Cup First Quarter Finalist

LONDON – Manchester City becomes the first badge team into the English FA Cup quarter finals by eliminating Bristol City 3-0 in an away game on Tuesday.

The Premier League reigning champion had less difficulty beating the home team from the EFL Championship, the second tier of the domestic football league system.

The Cities reserved their best striker Erling Haaland and team captain Ilkay Gundogan, while sending on several top players including playmaker Kevin de Bruyne who had just recovered from injury.

The Blue Moons had a good start with an early goal from Phil Foden in the seventh minute. The English winger then secured the victory with his second score in the 74th minute.

De Bruyne expanded the team’s advantage with a fantastic long shot in the 81th minute.

Guardiola’s Mission of 3 Titles

Arsenal and Liverpool Feature in EPL

The English Premier League make-up games of matchday 7 will also be played on this Wednesday.

Arsenal will meet Everton at Emirates Stadium, the Gunners expect a victory to enlarge their leading advantage in the EPL table to five points.

Liverpool will visit Wolverhampton to get the third win in their last four league matches, and one step closer to top four.

However, the most focused rivalry will be the clash between Liverpool and Man United on this Super Sunday.
