Man City seize initiative on EPL title after beat Arsenal 4-1

Man City on EPL beat Arsenal 4-1

MANCHESTER – Manchester City holds a great advantage to retain the English Premier League championship after they crushed Arsenal at home yesterday.

The EPL season 2022/23 matchday 33 focused rivalry on Wednesday night turned into a lopsided game, as the Blue Moons dominated the match and sent the visitors back to London with 4-1 result.

The Cities were apparently playing better than the Gunners, destroying the hope of their opponents to collect a point, with two goals from Kevin De Bruyne plus another two from John Stones and Erling Haaland.

The cooperation of De Bruyne and Haaland already wrecked the entire Arsenal’s defence, as the attacking duo contributed three goals and three assists.

After the game, Manchester City is still in second place in the EPL table with 73 points, two points behind Arsenal but two matches yet to play, giving them the least difficulty to overtake the throne by winning one of the two make-up games.

Guardiola gives Arteta lesson again

City’s club manager Pep Guardiola again proved that he is the best coach in the Premier League even worldwide, his squad is now the top favourite to win a total of three trophies this season.

The Blue Moons are also a popular team of the UEFA Champions League winners this season. Besides, they will meet Manchester United in the FA Cup final in June at Wembley Stadium, where the odds favoured them too.

Guardiola gave Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta another lesson last night, for how to build a world top class football team with the most effective tactics and outstanding management.

Arteta was Pep’s apprentice when he was the Cities’ assistant manager, where he was trained by the Spanish compatriot to be a club boss.

The gap between the Gunners and Manchester City proved that Mikel’s squad didn’t possess the capability to reign the Premier League this season.

Liverpool hails winning streak

On the same day, Liverpool celebrated three consecutive wins by defeating West Ham United in the away game.

The Reds performed a comeback to overturn the 0-1 score, with goals from Cody Gakpo and Joel Matip, leaving London Stadium with three points.

Jurgen Klopp’s squad is now in sixth place in the EPL table with 53 points, the same points as Tottenham Hotspur but better goal difference.

They are holding an initiative to rise to fifth position by surpassing Aston Villa, as they are one point behind with one game yet to play.

Chelsea’s endless suffer

Chelsea continued to suffer in a no winning predicament after they lost 0-2 to Brentford at Stamford Bridge.

The Blue Lions still failed to find a way to recover from their terrible condition, only netting a goal in their last seven matches.

Their club manager Frank Lampard lost all the five games since his return to the Blue London three weeks ago.

The five times EPL winner maintained eleventh place in the league standings, confirmed to miss the top four at the season end as they are twenty points away from Manchester United.
