MANCHESTER / LONDON – The English giants duo who are having most impressive performances this season, each celebrated their victory in the cup and league events on Wednesday night.

Manchester United completed a brilliant comeback by eliminating West Ham United 3-1 in the FA Cup fifth round at Old Trafford, to grab a ticket into the quarter final.

The Red Devils once fell behind with a goal from Said Benrahma in the 54th minute, giving them a stress as the score remained 0-1 until the last 20 minutes of the match.

The equaliser happened in the 77th minute when Nayef Aguerd netted in an own goal, followed by the second one from Alejandro Garnacho in the 90’ to reverse the situation.

Brazilian Fred’s goal in the 90+5th minute killed the hope of the visiting team to level the score again.

Unbeatable Dream Theatre

Manchester United proved that Old Trafford is an unbreakable fortress with another victory, they had stayed unbeaten at home stadium for 19 consecutive matches, including 16 wins and two draws.

They beat Barcelona 2-1 last week at the Dream Theatre to knock the Spanish club out from the UEFA Europa League play-off round.

The Devils are now in super hot streaks with nine wins and two draws for all games, including their triumph in the Carabao Cup final last Sunday by defeating Newcastle 2-0 at Wembley stadium.

However, Erik Ten Hag’s squad will face a major challenge this Sunday, where they have the clash of the giants with Liverpool at Anfield.

The rivalry between the Reds duo will probably determine the ability of United to compete for the Premier League title this season.

Tottenham Missed Quarter Final

Another team from the English Big Six, Tottenham Hotspur shockingly lost 0-1 to Sheffield United from the EFL Championship, the second tier of domestic leagues.

As the fifth round completed, the FA Cup quarter finalists were revealed as well as its fixtures.

Arsenal crushed Everton 4-0 at Emirates stadium, to expand their leading advantage in the EPL table to five points ahead of Manchester City.
