Manchester United Choice of Forward: Harry Kane or Osimhen?

Harry Kane

MANCHESTER – Everyone knows that Manchester United is desperate for a top class forward player in their current squad.

The Red Devils, who have a chance to win three titles this season, showed their remarkable improvement overall since the coaching of Erik ten Hag, potentially to rebuild their empire which dominated the English Premier League and even Europe during Sir Alex Ferguson’s era.

The 13 times EPL winner is now standing in third place, they might be too hard to reclaim the league championship after 20 years, but it should not be a problem to finish this season as top four to return to the UEFA Champions League next season.

Under the management of the Dutch, United has a steady and competitive first-team squad, although they have less substitutions for each position, making the main players tiring for compact matches schedule.

The Devils need a super forward

Among the squad, Manchester United needed a powerful forward player the most, as the weakest spot in their formation.

In their current first team, the Devils have Anthony Martial as the only signed centre forward who is qualified as a high level player, but the Frenchman apparently couldn’t bear the responsibility as his frequent injuries which made him absent most of the team matches.

The number 9 is expected to leave the club after this season as he is no longer a reliable attacker.

Meanwhile, Wout Weghorst who on loan from Burnley was mostly playing as first line-up since his joining this January.

The Dutch forward is being praised and credited with his hardwork in running, assists and distractions of opponents’ defence, but having a major disadvantage of low scoring efficiency, as only two goals in his 18 appearances.

It is uncertain that United will buy out the striker this summer or not, but they accepted the truth that the hunting for a powerful forward is their priority before next season starts.

Harry Kane is leaving Spurs

Many UK media have reported that Harry Kane will leave Tottenham Hotspur after this season, to join a giant club which can bring him first championship in his career.

Serving the Spurs for 14 years, the club and team England’s top scorer of all time is unable to win any titles for both club and national team, although he has several individual honours including three EPL Golden Boots and a FIFA World Cup Golden Boot.

The White London will probably face another emptiness at the end of this season, giving the 29 years old superstar a must go situation, to seek his first trophy before his retirement.

Media claimed that the Spurs are ready to sell him with a price of 115 million Euros, while Manchester United and Real Madrid are the current interested buyers.

United might have an advantage against the Spanish giant as Kane probably prefers to stay in Britain instead of moving to Spain.

€150m for Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen is another focused target of Manchester United as their best centre forward.

The Nigerian showed his outstanding strength by netting 25 goals this season, helping SSC Napoli to lead the Italian Serie A with a huge gap of 19 points over Lazio, pretty close to their third league title.

The 24 years old attacker has also brought his club into the UEFA Champions League quarter final.

Sources stated that Napoli is willing to sell him with the lowest price 150 million Euros.

The Nigerian is more expensive than Kane but younger. Who will the Red Devils choose in the transfer window this summer?
